CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A hot-shooting Harvard squad topped the Yale women's basketball team 91-35 Saturday afternoon at Lavietes Pavilion. The Crimson was led by 25 points from guard Harmoni Turner.
Yale (2-16, 1-4 Ivy League) fell behind 7-0 before senior guard
Avery Lee hit a mid-range jumper for the Bulldogs' first points of the game. The Crimson eventually got the lead to double digits later that quarter, then scored five points in the final seven seconds of the quarter to take a 25-10 lead. That momentum carried over into the second quarter, with Harvard extending its lead to 34 by halftime – 55-21.
Harvard (15-2, 4-1 Ivy League) outscored Yale 36-14 in the second half to close out the win. The Crimson remains within one game of first-place Columbia in the Ivy League standings.
