Vita Poniatovskaia and sophomore
Mariya Rauf combined for four first period goals to lead the Yale women's hockey team to a resounding 8-1 victory over Robert Morris University on Friday evening on the road. Six different Bulldogs tallied goals to kick off 2025 on a high note.
With the victory, the Bulldogs improved to 8-6-2 overall while the Colonials fell to 6-13-2.

- P1, 2:36 | YALE GOAL! Poniatovskaia got the Bulldogs on the board early on with a top-shelf wrister off a beautiful cross-ice pass from Carina DiAntonio.
- P1, 6:16 | YALE GOAL! Sylvia Bojarski took a slap shot from outside the near faceoff circle. Her attempt was redirected into the back of the net by Rauf to double up the lead.
- P1, 14:38 | YALE GOAL! Skating inside the blue line, Poniatovskaia fired a wrister on net in front of a heavily screened Colonials goaltender. The shot caromed through the legs of the home netminder for the Bulldogs' third goal of the period.
- P1, 19:25 | YALE GOAL! Rauf tallied her second goal of the game after attempting a backhanded shot on net which was saved by goaltender Maggie Hatch. But the rebound attempt was put in by the sophomore to end the period on a high note.
- P2, 14:02 | YALE GOAL! Cami Bell tallied her fifth goal of the season after breaking into the attacking area. The first year easily skated past a Colonials' defender and showcased fancy puck handling skills to deke the opposing goalie.
- P3, 7:16 | YALE GOAL! Ellie Reiter redirected a shot from Bojarski for the Bulldogs sixth goal of the game.
- P3, 12:59 | YALE GOAL! The Bulldogs tallied their seventh score of the contest on a power play goal by Stephanie Stainton.
- P3, 19:35 | YALE GOAL! Anna Bargman ended the scoring barrage with a tally off an assist from Jordan Ray.
Game Notes
- Yale and Robert Morris squared off for the first time since 2012. Prior to Friday's game, the Colonials held a 2-0 series lead.
- The Bulldogs tallied their second-highest goal total of the season only trailing a nine-score effort against Saint Anselm on Oct. 22.
- Poniatovskaia and Rauf led the way with two goals each. Poniatovskaia now has six on the season with Rauf trailing just behind with five.
- Bojarski and Olivia Muhn each recorded two assists a piece.
- Reiter notched her first goal of the season. Bargman, Bell, and Stainton also found the back of the net for the Bulldogs.
- Yale goaltender Pia Dukaric earned her eighth win of the season while recording 16 goals.
