NEW HAVEN, Conn. — First year outside hitter Ava Poinsett has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the third time in 2025, as announced on Monday, October 20. 

In a 3-0 win against Dartmouth on Oct. 17, Poinsett recorded eight kills, 10 digs and a service ace. And in another 3-0 against Harvard on Oct. 18, she recorded a match-high 13 kills.  

Poinsett currently leads the Bulldogs in kills (186) and service aces (24), and is second on the team in digs (123). 

The Bulldogs will head to Providence, Rhode Island this upcoming weekend for a road match against travel partner Brown on Oct. 25.
