PRINCETON, N.J. – Yale senior running back Josh Pitsenberger has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday, Oct. 27.
Pitsenberger powered the Bulldogs in their 35-13 victory over Penn, turning in a season-best performance on the ground. He rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown, with his 10-yard score late in the first quarter giving Yale a 7-3 lead and a surge of momentum the Bulldogs carried the rest of the way.
One of the league's most consistent offensive threats, Pitsenberger currently leads the Ivy League in total rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, and rushing yards per game.
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 when they host Columbia. Kick-off is slated for 12 p.m. from Yale Bowl, Class of 1954 Field.Â
