NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Team 152 will look to continue moving up the Ivy League standings after a dominant 35-13 win over Penn. The Bulldogs will remain home to play defending Ivy League champion Columbia (1-5, 0-3 Ivy), wrapping up a three-game homestand. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.

What's New
  • Yale has won 10 of its last 11 home games dating back to November 2023.
  • After his 145 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown game against Penn, the conference named Josh Pitsenberger Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week.
  • Pitsenberger's performance moved him into a tie with Tyler Varga for third-most career rushing touchdowns by a Yale player (31), and moved into eighth-most career rushing yards by a Yale player (2,548), jumping ahead of John Pagliaro.
  • Pitsenberger is currently the Ivy League's rushing triple crown leader, topping the conference in attempts (141), rushing yards (684) and rushing touchdowns (9).
  • Inumidun Ayo-Durojaiye currently leads the Ivy League in total tackles with 71 through six games. His 11.8 total tackles per game rank seventh in the FCS nationally.
  • Dante Reno is now second in the Ivy League in completion percentage (65.6%) and quarterback efficiency rating (147.1).
The Series

  • Abu Kamara led the Bulldogs that night defensively with eight total tackles, a tackle for loss, forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Scouting Columbia
  • The Lions were picked to finish fourth in the Ivy League Preseason Poll after a 2024 season where they went 7-3 and claimed their first share of the Ivy League title since 1961. Columbia earned that Ivy League title share thanks to a 34-29 Yale victory over Harvard on the final day of the regular season.
  • Columbia comes into the matchup with a 1-5 overall record and a 0-3 record against Ivy League opponents, including a 49-3 defeat against Dartmouth last week. The Lions' lone win came against Georgetown on Sept. 27.
  • Columbia and Yale have played three common opponents, with the Lions losing to Lehigh 31-7, Penn 35-21 and Dartmouth 49-3.
  • The Lions currently have the Ivy League's bottom scoring offense (12.3 ppg) and scoring defense (30.0 ppg).
  • Two bright spots for the Lions this season have been defensive linemen Justin Townsend and Joshua Powell, who lead the Ivy League in tackles for loss with 8.5 and 6.5, respectively.
  • Columbia linebacker Jack Smiechowski is second in the Ivy League with 52 total tackles this season. He is also tied for the league lead in interceptions with three.
Hear From Coach Ostrowsky
"(Columbia)'s a sound football team," said offensive coordinator Chris Ostrowsky. "They're coming off a really good season for them and for anybody. They were co-champs last year. So we expect them to come in and be prepared to play."
