NEW HAVEN, Conn. — First year outside hitter Ava Poinsett has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row, as announced on Monday, October 6. 

In a 3-0 win against Penn on Oct. 3, Poinsett recorded 13 kills, 11 digs and three service aces. And against Princeton on Oct. 4, she recorded a match-high 19 kills.  

Poinsett currently leads the Bulldogs in kills (151) and service aces (17), and is third on the team in digs (94). 

The Bulldogs will head to New York this upcoming weekend to face off against Columbia on Oct. 10 and Cornell on Oct. 11.
