NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Jim Henry, Robert J.H. Kiphuth Head Swimming & Diving Coach is thrilled to announce that Alex Massey and True Sweetser will join his staff as Assistant Coaches.

"Their remarkable experience and vibrant energy are sure to positively influence our students' performance both in the water and in the classroom. With True, we gain a former US national champion in the mile, and with Alex, we bring on board the Ivy League Career High Point winner. We couldn't be more excited about this outstanding team!"
 
Massey recently concluded a decorated four-year swimming career at Yale. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, she was honored with the 2025 Ivy League Career High Point Award, given to the senior athlete who earned the most points over their four-year span at the Ivy League Championships. She was also named a CSCAA Scholar All-American each year of her collegiate career. Massey earned her Bachelor's Degree in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health in May 2025 and is now pursuing a Master's in Public Health with a focus on Healthcare Management.
 
A top-tier distance freestyle swimmer, Sweetser had an impressive four-year career at Stanford, where he earned multiple All-American honors and set school records in the 1,000- and 1,650-yard freestyle events. He represented Team USA at the 2017 World Championships after winning the 1,500-meter freestyle at the Phillips 66 Nationals. Additionally, he is a silver medalist at the Pan American Games. The Gainesville, Florida native received his Bachelor's Degree in History from Stanford in June 2022, and went on to earn his Master's in Russian, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies in September 2022. He's currently working on a Ph.D. in History at Yale.
