- This will be the 106th all-time meeting between the two schools, with Yale leading the series 54-45-6.
The Last Matchup
- In 2024, Dartmouth defeated Yale 44-43 in an overtime thriller. Grant Jordan led a high-flying Bulldog passing attack that day, throwing for 412 yards and five touchdowns.
- The match up was the highest-scoring game between Yale and Dartmouth ever played.
Scouting Dartmouth
- As defending champions, the Big Green were picked second in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, receiving 105 points and four first-place votes. Dartmouth has started the season 2-1, with wins over No. 23 New Hampshire and Central Connecticut State before losing to Penn to begin Ivy League play this past weekend.
- The Big Green have won Ivy League titles in four of the past five seasons (2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024).
- Dartmouth's offense is led by quarterback Grayson Saunier, who currently leads the Ivy League in passing yards with 793. He has also thrown for two touchdowns on the season. Saunier's favorite target is Grayson O'Bara, who leads the Big Green with 15 catches for 250 yards in three games so far. D.J. Crowther leads Dartmouth in rushing with 315 yards, good for second in the Ivy League, and six touchdowns.

- Dartmouth's special teams also feature two-time All-Ivy First Team kicker Owen Zalc. He is 3-5 on field goals this season and 7-8 on PATs this season. In 2024, Zalc hit a 54-yard field goal against Harvard, matching the longest in Ivy League history en route to winning Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Year.
Thoughts from Coach McGowan
"You have got to defend the entire field with these guys," said Sean McGowan, Head Coach of Defense. "They have an experienced quarterback. Their left tackle will probably have the opportunity to play in the NFL. They have a really big, strong, physical tight end that's a really good pass catcher. Their running back is a physical runner. And then they have three receivers on the outside that really test you with great speed. So it's gonna be a great challenge."
Up Next
The Bulldogs will return home to finish non-conference play against Stonehill on Oct. 18 at noon, beginning a three-game home stand.
