Women’s Soccer Draws with Penn in Season Finale

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Yale women's soccer team closed out its season with a scoreless draw against Penn on Saturday evening at Rhodes Field.
 
The Bulldogs finished with a 3-11-1 overall record (1-5-1 Ivy), and Penn finished at 5-4-6 (1-3-3 Ivy).

"We were without some key players tonight and I'm proud of our young players who stepped up and got a result, said Sarah Martinez, Loring Family Head Coach of Women's Soccer. "Obviously we would have loved to get a win to send off our seniors, but I think our group showed why the future is very bright for our program." 
 
 
Notes
  • Goalkeeper Kyla Holmes recorded one save in the game. The junior finished the season with a total of 68 saves and four shutouts.
  • The Bulldogs recorded three shots on goal during the game, with JoJo DeNegri contributing two of them.
  • Yale had three corner kicks compared to Penn's single opportunity.
  • Penn held an 11-4 edge in shots.
  • The game was the Bulldogs' first scoreless draw since 2022.
