NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Fresh off its third consecutive win to start the season, the Yale men's basketball team will host the Rhode Island Rams at the John J. Lee Amphitheater on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Later in the week, the Bulldogs will travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands for the Paradise Jam Tournament, held from Friday, Nov. 21 to Monday, Nov. 24. Yale opens the tournament against Green Bay, with opponents for the following two games to be determined.

Last Time Out

• Five Bulldogs tallied double figures and Yale shot 50% from the field to defeat Stony Brook, 86-79, in Saturday afternoon's home opener.
• After a tightly contested first half that ended with Yale up 40–38, the Bulldogs pushed the tempo in the second. A Stony Brook jumper cut the lead to 46–43 at the 17:27 mark, but Yale responded from long range. 
• The Bulldogs' next 15 points came from three-point shots, including two deep makes from Nick Townsend, stretching the margin to 61–49. 
• Stony Brook continued to battle, pulling within 74–70 with 2:12 remaining after a three-pointer, but Trevor Mullin answered with a clutch triple, putting the game out of reach for good.

• Four Bulldogs are averaging double-digit points per game: Riley Fox (19.3 ppg), Townsend (18.0 ppg), Isaac Celiscar (13.0 ppg), and Samson Aletan (10.3 ppg).
• Yale is third nationally in three-point percentage (50.8) and seventh in free throw percentage (82.9). Additionally, Fox is sixth nationally in three-point percentage (66.7).
• The Bulldogs are first in the Ivy League in offense (93.3 ppg), and first in defense, holding opponents to 61.6 points per game.
• Fox is third in the league in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game, and Townsend is sixth (18.0 ppg).
• Fox, Celiscar, and Townsend have all reached double figures in each of the team's first three games.
• Fox has scored 20 or more points in two of the first three games.

• The Bulldogs were ranked No. 4 in the Mid Major Top 25 on Nov. 10.
• Townsend was tabbed Ivy League Player of the Week on Nov. 10.
• Yale was ranked No. 5 in the Preseason Mid Major Top 25 on Oct. 27.
• The Bulldogs were unanimously selected to finish first in the Ivy League Preseason Poll on Oct. 23.

• The Rams enter the matchup with a 3-1 record.
• Rhode Island is coming off a 80-61 victory over UAlbany.
• The team is averaging 79.5 points per game, and Tyler Cochran paces the offense, averaging 16.0 points per game.
• In the win, the Rams held the Great Danes to 37.7 percent from the field. Myles Corey scored a team-high 19 points to go with three assists and two steals.
• The Rams were picked to finish 12^th in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.

 
Scouting Green Bay

• The Phoenix enter the week with a 1-4 record.
• Green Bay is coming off a 72-65 loss to Minnesota. In the defeat, the Phoenix had four players score in double figures, led by Marcus Hall, who had 15 points.
• The team was picked to finish 11^th in the Horizon League Preseason Poll.
• Hall paces the offense, averaging 15.2 points per game.
