NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Fresh off a thrilling Paradise Jam championship win over Akron, the Yale men's basketball team is back in action with three games early this week. The Bulldogs will travel to Vermont on Sunday, Nov. 30, before returning home to host SUNY Maritime on Tuesday, Dec. 2, and Brandeis on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

- Four Bulldogs scored in double figures as Yale shot an impressive 63% from the field (34–of–54) and a flawless 100% (21-of–21) at the free-throw line to edge the Akron Zips, 97–94, in a thrilling Paradise Jam championship game, securing the tournament title.
- After Akron rallied to tie the game at 80 with 5:02 remaining, Trevor Mullin answered with a three-pointer to reclaim the lead for the Bulldogs.
- Riley Fox followed with back-to-back threes to push Yale ahead 89–84, though the Zips responded with a triple of their own to stay within striking distance. Townsend added a layup, but Akron countered again to make it 91–89.

- After the win over Akron in the Paradise Jam Championship, Nick Townsend was named tournament MVP. The senior averaged 22.0 points per game, shooting 23-for-41 from the field, 6-for-10 from three, and 14-for-17 at the free-throw line. He also posted 6.7 rebounds per game and totaled 18 assists throughout the tournament.
- Three Bulldogs are averaging double-digit points per game: Townsend (19.7 ppg), Isaac Celiscar (13.4 ppg), Fox (12.9 ppg).
- Townsend has scored in double digits in all seven of the team's opening games.
- Yale is first in the NCAA in three-point percentage (as of Nov. 26) at 45.9% and fourth in free-throw percentage (82.0%).
- Samson Aletan is first in the Ivy League with 17 blocks, and 19th in the nation.
- Townsend tallied his first double-double of the season against the Zips with 21 points and 10 assists. The 10 assists marked a career high.
- Townsend is third in the conference in scoring, averaging 19.7 points per game, and is fifth in rebounding, averaging 7.4 per game.
- Aletan is second (66.7%), and Celiscar is third (61.4%) in the Ivy League in field goal percentage.

- Maritime enters the week with a 2-2 overall record.
- The team is coming off a 76-54 victory over Hunter on Nov. 20.
- In the victory, Jake Devaney finished with 23 points, his third straight game eclipsing the 20-point plateau. He added nine rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.
- The Privateers reached the semifinals of the Skyline Conference Tournament in 2024-25, for the second time in three years.
Scouting Brandeis
- Brandeis enters the week with a 2-4 overall record.
- The team is coming off a 74-68 loss to Clark on Nov. 25.
- In the defeat, Alex Zakheim had a career-high 30 points – 14 in the first half and 16 in the second. He hit 11-of-13 from the field, 3-of-3 from 3-point range and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. He also had three steals on the defensive end.
- Elias Rodl leads the Judges in scoring, averaging 21.8 points per game, and leads in rebounds, averaging 7.0 per game.
