CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The New England Football Writers Association (NEFW) has announced its 2025 All-New England selections, and seven members of the Yale Football program earned postseason honors. Six Bulldogs secured All-New England player honors, while head coach Tony Reno was selected as the Jack Grinold Division I Coach of the Year. The NEFW annually recognizes the top Division I players by position in New England.

Tony Reno – Coach of the Year
Tony Reno, Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach, was named the Jack Grinold Division I Coach of the Year, his second career NEFW honor (also 2017). He becomes the fourth Yale coach to receive the award and the third to earn it multiple times, joining Jordan Olivar (1956, 1960), Carm Cozza (1980), and Jack Siedlecki (1999, 2007).

Last week, the Ivy League named Yale's staff the Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year. The Bulldogs finished 8-2 overall and 6-1 in Ivy play, defeating then-undefeated Harvard 45-28 in the regular-season finale to secure the Ivy League's first-ever automatic berth to the FCS Playoffs.
DEFENSE
Abu Kamara – Defensive Back
A unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection, Kamara repeated as an All-New England honoree after a dominant junior season. He was unanimously voted the Asa S. Bushnell Defensive Player of the Year, finishing the regular season with 65 tackles (32 solo), 6.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, two interceptions, eight pass breakups, a blocked kick, and two defensive touchdowns.

Ezekiel Larry – Defensive Line
Larry earned First Team All-Ivy honors and was named All-New England after leading the Ivy League with 10.5 sacks, ending the regular season ranked fifth nationally in sacks per game (1.05).

OFFENSE
Josh Pitsenberger – Running Back
The Asa S. Bushnell Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-Ivy selection, Pitsenberger rushed for 1,238 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 255 carries, leading the Ivy League in all three categories during the regular season. This marks his fourth straight postseason honor, following Second Team All-Ivy selections in 2023 and 2024 and First Team All-Ivy and Ivy League Rookie of the Year recognition in 2022.

Nico Brown – Wide Receiver
Brown earned First Team All-Ivy and All-New England honors after posting 978 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, both career highs.

Michael Bennett – Offensive Line
A First Team All-Ivy honoree, Preseason All-American, and Jerry Nason Award recipient, Bennett anchored the Yale offensive line, starting all 10 regular-season games.

Joshua Tarver – Kickoff Return Specialist
Tarver earned All-New England recognition after totaling 289 return yards on 10 attempts, including a long of 63 yards, across 10 regular-season games.
