NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale football added two more national honors to its postseason résumé as
Abu Kamara and
Nico Brown were named First Team All-Americans by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
Kamara and Brown each earned first-team recognition at their respective positions following standout seasons that helped define Yale's success in 2025.
Abu Kamara | Defensive Back
Kamara continued a banner postseason with his latest All-America selection, adding to an already impressive list of national accolades. The unanimous Asa S. Bushnell Defensive Player of the Year, Kamara was previously recognized as a First Team All-American by FCS Football Central and Stats Perform, in addition to earning AP All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2024. A unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection, Kamara recorded 76 tackles (40 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, two interceptions, 13 pass breakups, a blocked kick, and two defensive touchdowns.

Nico Brown | Wide Receiver
Brown secured AFCA First Team All-America honors after a historic receiving campaign. Earlier this week, he was also named an All-American by FCS Football Central. A First Team All-Ivy and All-New England selection, Brown totaled 71 receptions for 1,085 yards and 11 touchdowns. His 108.5 receiving yards per game led the nation and ranked as the third-highest single-season average in Yale history.
