Last Time Out
- Jordan Brathwaite had a career day as Yale extended its winning streak to eight with a 92–83 victory over UAlbany in the MGM Springfield Basketball Hall of Fame Classic.
- Brathwaite, named the Classic Player of the Game, led six Bulldogs in double figures, finishing with a career-high 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting. He went 4-for-6 from three, a perfect 2-for-2 at the free-throw line, and added seven rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
- After UAlbany took a 35–34 lead with 3:54 left in the first half, Yale's offense erupted. The Bulldogs rattled off a 10–0 run—sparked by six points from Nick Townsend—to go up 44–35 with 1:03 remaining, and eventually carried a 47–37 advantage into halftime.
- Yale kept the pressure on after the break, with Brathwaite taking over. He scored 12 second-half points, all from beyond the arc, including a three-pointer that pushed the Bulldogs' lead to a game-high 19 points (75–56) with five minutes left. Yale never looked back from there.

- Jones has enjoyed remarkable success against major conference opponents. In 2008-09, Yale knocked off Oregon State, the school's first win ever over a Pac-12 opponent.
- The Bulldogs also beat Cal in the Pac-12 China Game in Shanghai in 2018 and Washington in 2016. In addition, Jones has enjoyed victories over schools from the ACC (Miami, Clemson twice, Boston College), Big 12 (Baylor) Big East (Rutgers), Big Ten (Penn State) Atlantic 10 (Rhode Island), SEC (Auburn), WCC (Santa Clara, Loyola Marymount) during his tenure.
Scouting Alabama
- The Crimson Tide are currently ranked No. 14 in the AP Top 25 Poll, and No. 15 in the USA Today Top 25 Poll.
- Alabama is coming off a 92-81 victory over Kennesaw State in the Rocket City Classic.
- In the victory, head coach Nate Oats won his 250th career game. Additionally, Alabama was led by Aiden Sherrell's career-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds.
- The Tide also had three others in double figures, including Labaron Philon Jr. (17 points), Aden Holloway (17 points), and Jalil Bethea (11 points).
- Alabama is seventh in the nation in scoring offense (93.9), and third in three pointers per game (12.3).
- Aiden Sherrell is third in the NCAA in blocks per game (3.08), and Philon is seventh in points per game (21.9).
- Alabama is coming off its second consecutive Elite Eight appearance for the first time in school history.
- The Tide made its 25th NCAA appearance in program history this past season.
