NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its final meet of 2025 in strong fashion, defeating Southern Connecticut State University, 206-55, on Thursday evening. The swimming events were held at SCSU's Hutchinson Natatorium, while diving took place at Yale's Kiphuth Exhibition Pool.
The Bulldogs delivered an outstanding performance, sweeping all 16 events, with
Kavin Li standing out as a double-event winner in the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard breaststroke.
The Results
- 200-yard medley relay: Lucius Brown, Nareg Minassian, Crash Ackerly, and Manoli Mountantonakis captured first place with a time of 1:33.07.
- 1000-yard freestyle: Arshak Hambardzumyan took first, finishing in 9:16.32.
- 200-yard freestyle: Elliot Lee touched the wall first with a time of 1:41.60.
- 100-yard backstroke: Nick Finch claimed first place with a time of 50.07.
- 100-yard breaststroke: Jack Saber finished first in 59.58.
- 200-yard butterfly: Mak Nurkic Kacapor won the event with a time of 1:52.71.
- 50-yard freestyle: Li earned first place, finishing in 21.29.
- 100-yard freestyle: Crash Ackerly topped the event with a time of 46.04.
- 200-yard backstroke: Christian Lee finished first in 1:51.20.
- 200-yard breaststroke: Li picked up his second win of the night, touching the wall first in 2:04.24.
- 500-yard freestyle: Deniel Nankov placed first with a time of 4:43.78.
- 1M Dive: Nicholas Chau secured first place with a score of 307.35.
- 3M Dive: Jackson Lipscomb earned first with a score of 343.00.
- 100-yard butterfly: Jake Wang finished first in 48.06.
- 200-yard IM: Manoli Mountantonakis captured first place with a time of 1:55.36.
- 400-yard freestyle relay: Nurkic Kacapor, Alexander Hazlett, Ackerly, and Hambardzumyan closed out the meet with a win in 3:04.91.
