•  Nick Townsend posted his second double-double of the season as the Bulldogs kept rolling, defeating Brandeis 79–61 on Wednesday evening at the John J. Lee Amphitheater. 
• After Brandeis cut the deficit to 38–26 with a basket at the 18:47 mark of the second half, the Bulldogs answered with seven straight points, capped by a Townsend three. 
• The Judges responded with a three of their own, but Yale came right back with eight consecutive points, highlighted by an Isaac Celiscar three-point play, stretching the lead to its largest of the night—54–29 with 14:37 remaining. Brandeis kept fighting, but the Bulldogs never looked back.

 
Bulldog Notes

• Three Bulldogs are averaging double-digit points per game: Townsend (17.5 ppg), Celiscar (13.9 ppg), Fox (13.9 ppg).
• Celiscar has scored in double figures for five straight games.
• Fox has recorded double-digit points in eight games this season.
• Townsend notched his second double-double of the season and the 10th of his career against Brandeis.
• The Bulldogs are second in the nation in three-point percentage (43.9), fourth in field goal percentage (53.4), and seventh in free throw percentage (79.8).
• Townsend is first in the Ivy League and 25^th in nation in field goals (60).
• Townsend is fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 17.5 points per game, and is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. Additionally, he's second in the league averaging 4.6 assists per game.
• Samson Aletan is second in the league with 17 blocks, averaging 2.1 per game.

• UIC is coming off a last-second 63-62 loss to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday.
• In the defeat, redshirt freshman Jayce Nathaniel recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 14 rebounds.
• Ahmad Henderson II, Josiah Hammons, Sam Silverstein, and Elijah Crawford were all tabbed MVC Players to Watch in 2025-26.
• The Flames defeated the Bulldogs last season, 91–79, in Chicago. Townsend was one of four Yale players who tallied double figures with 12 points.

 
Scouting UAlbany

• The Great Danes enter with a 3-6 overall record (and will play Columbia on Saturday, Dec. 6).
• Most recently, UAlbany is coming off a 90-62 victory over Oneonta.
• In the victory, Okechukwu Okeke paced the Great Danes with 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting and added 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and a steal.
• UAlbany was picked to finish second in the America East Preseason Poll, and Amir Lindsey was named Preseason All-Conference.
• The Great Danes are averaging 76.1 points per game and 37.9 rebounds per game.
• Yale and UAlbany last played each other on Dec. 7, 2021; the Bulldogs won 71–52.
