NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Following two big wins for the Yale men's basketball team, Isaac Celiscar was tabbed Ivy Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Celiscar tallied the final three points in Yale's thrilling 72-71 victory over Penn on Friday, capped off by the game-winning layup with eight seconds remaining. He then secured the victory by stealing the ball from the Quakers with four seconds left, putting the game out of reach for good. The Winter Haven, Florida native finished the contest with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting with five rebounds and three steals.

The first year continued his strong performance, joining three other Bulldogs in scoring double figures in a dominant 84-57 win over Princeton on Saturday. He notched 10 points on 3-of-4 shooting, was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line, and grabbed seven rebounds.

This marks Celiscar's first major weekly award from the conference, and is the fourth for the Bulldogs this season.

The Bulldogs will return to the court with back-to-back home games this week, hosting Cornell on Friday, Feb. 21 and then Columbia on Saturday, Feb. 22.
