LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Yale women's golf team competed in the Yale Invitational West at the PGA West Norman Course.
After two days of competition, the Bulldogs finished 12th in a field of 12 teams. No. 15 North Carolina took the top spot at the tournament. Other nationally ranked programs at the tournament were Kansas (23), Virginia Tech (50), Vanderbilt (12), Oklahoma State (27), California (32) and Kansas State (30).Â
"We are incredibly grateful to PGA West ownership and staff for hosting the Yale Invitational this year. It was an exciting opportunity to travel west and connect with many of our West Coast Bulldogs and families," said Lauren Harling Austin, Liu Family Head Coach. "It was especially meaningful to bring our Californians back home and recognize Lexi [Kim] and Sophie [Simon], who have been the heart and soul of this program. I am very proud of them and excited for their adventures beyond graduation in May."
