CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Yale women's lacrosse senior midfielder
Fallon Vaughn was chosen as a nominee for the Tewaaraton Award on Thursday; on Saturday at Jordan Field against No. 22 Harvard she reminded everyone why. Vaughn's career-high 10 point day – four goals, six assists – also included five draw controls and a pair of ground balls. She was one of three Bulldogs to score four goals. Combined with another sterling effort from the Bulldog defense, it all added up to a 14-9 win.
No. 6 Yale (11-3, 4-2 Ivy League) saw an early 2-0 lead slip away, but after Harvard tied the game 2-2 in the second quarter the Bulldogs seized control. A 6-0 Yale run included four goals from senior midfielder
Sky Carrasquillo and two from senior midfielder
Taylor Lane. Harvard (7-6, 2-4 Ivy League) never got closer than within four goals the rest of the way.
