Bulldogs' Season Ends With Ivy Tournament Loss to Harvard

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale baseball team fell to Harvard 8-6 on Sunday afternoon in the Ivy League Tournament, ending a spectacular and historic 2025 season.

Harvard defeated Yale for the second time in three days, eliminating the Bulldogs from the conference tournament. The Crimson will play Columbia in the finals of the event.

Yale finished the season with a 31-14 record. The Bulldogs won 30 games for the third time in program history and earned a share of the Ivy League regular season title.

  • Top 1st | Kaiden Dossa hit a leadoff home run to left to give the Bulldogs the early lead. 1-0 YALE 
  • Top 2nd | Yale scored three more runs in the second. Jeff Pierantoni laid down a sac bunt to score Hayden Sobecki. Dossa added his third RBI of the game with a sac fly. Jake Williams singled home Garrett Larsen later in the inning. 4-0 YALE
  • Bottom 2nd | Harvard scored its first run of the game in the second. 4-1 YALE

  • Bottom 5th | Harvard scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth its first lead of the game. Jack Rickheim doubled home two and Matt Giberti hit a sac fly. 5-4 HARVARD
  • Top 7th | Yale tied the game on a sac fly by Alec Atkinson. 5-5
  • Top 8th | Jack Dauer tripled to center to leadoff the inning. He scored on a wild pitch, giving the Bulldogs the lead. 6-5 YALE
  • Bottom 8th | The Crimson scored three runs in the eighth to seal the victory. 8-6 HARVARD
The Bulldogs graduate 10 seniors but will return more than a dozen players with collegiate experience next season.
