NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Tony Reno, the Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach of the Bulldogs, will welcome 23 first years to campus this fall.
The Class of 2029 arrives at Yale from 12 states, with Texas (6) leading the way. Three student-athletes hail from California; two each from Massachusetts, New York, and North Carolina; and one each from Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Wisconsin. The group also includes one international player from Canada.
The newcomers join a Yale football program that has captured four Ivy League championships in the last seven seasons.
Yale opens the 2025 season on Saturday, Sept. 20, against Holy Cross. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. at the Yale Bowl, Class of 1954 Field.
