Bulldogs Dominate in Home Opener Against Hofstra

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Four Bulldogs scored as the Yale women's soccer team picked up a big 4-0 victory over the Hofstra Pride in its home opener at Reese Stadium on Sunday. The Bulldogs improved to 2-0, while Hofstra dropped to 3-1, as Yale handed the visitors their first loss of the season.

"Today was a physical battle and I'm so proud of our group for showing up ready after a quick turnaround from Friday," said Sarah Martinez, Loring Family Head Coach of Women's Soccer. "I'm obviously happy with the goals we scored but even more so with the shutout at home. We talk about taking pride on Reese, and they certainly showed that tonight."

"Happy to start the season 2-0 and I want the group to enjoy it before turning the page to a very good Vanderbilt team next week," added Martinez.
