NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's swimming and diving team made a splash on its senior day, breaking three Kiphuth Pool records en route to a 192-108 victory over Cornell on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs broke pool records in the 400-yard medley relay (3:37.81), 200-yard freestyle relay (1:31.96), and
Jessey Li's 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.19).
The Results
- 400-yard medley relay: The quartet of Devyn Sargent, Li, Penny Zarczynski, and Sara Plunkett took first in a Kiphuth Pool record time of 3:37.81.
- 200-yard freestyle: Julia Ebli finished first in the event with a time of 1:48.48.
- 100-yard backstroke: Sargent won the event with a time of 54.18.
- 100-yard breaststroke: Li finished first in a Kiphuth Pool record time of 1:00.19.
- 200-yard butterfly: Angela Wang touched the wall first in a time of 2:01.74.
- 50-yard freestyle: Plunkett won the event with a time of 23.18.
- 1M Dive: The Bulldogs finished top three in the event as Lily Horenkamp took first (295.50), followed by Lola Malarky (279.68) in second and Paige Lai (273.75) in third.
- 100-yard freestyle: Lisa-Marie Finger won the event with a time of 50.71.
- 200-yard backstroke: Mabel Koff touched the wall first in a time of 1:57.81.
- 200-yard breaststroke: Lucy Walker won the event with a time of 2:18.04.
- 500-yard freestyle: Caroline Riggs placed first in a time of 4:51.89.
- 200-yard IM: Li picked up her second victory of the day with a time of 2:00.91.
- 200-yard free relay: The quartet of Ele Donegan, Ebli, Caroline McCurdy, and Plunkett wrapped up the meet with a win in a Kiphuth Pool record time of 1:31.96.
