POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Yale men's hockey team fell to Clarkson, 4-1, at Cheel Arena. The Bulldogs moved to 8-18-1 overall and 7-11-1 in ECAC Hockey, while the Golden Knights improved to 13-15-3 overall and 7-9-3 in conference play.
Period 1: Clarkson 1, Yale 0
- 15:58 (CLA) – Clarkson opened the scoring late in the first period with an even-strength tally, taking a 1-0 lead into the intermission.
Period 2: Clarkson 4, Yale 1
- 3:47 (CLA) – The Golden Knights struck early in the second to double their advantage.
- 12:35 (CLA) – Clarkson extended the lead to three with a goal just past the midway point of the period.
- 18:42 (YAL) – The Bulldogs broke through late in the frame. Ronan O'Donnell slid a pass to Owen Forester at the point. Forester's shot generated a rebound that Iisai Pesonen gathered and buried, cutting the deficit to 3-1.
- 19:26 (CLA) - Clarkson added another goal in the period to take a 4-1 lead into the third.
Period 3: Clarkson 4, Yale 1
- Yale applied pressure in the final frame, outshooting Clarkson 10-5, but the Golden Knights held on for the 4-1 victory.
