PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Jessey Li captured gold in the 100-yard breaststroke, while
Devyn Sargent earned bronze, to highlight a successful day three for the Yale women's swimming and diving team on Friday at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
Li, who has dominated the event throughout her four-year career, earned a medal every season, winning gold as a first-year, taking silver in both her sophomore and junior years, and finishing her career with another gold. Sargent's bronze-medal marked the first time in her career finishing in the top three.
The Results
- 200-yard Freestyle: Julia Ebli earned a sixth-place finish in the A final, touching the wall in 1:47.62.
- 100-yard Breaststroke: Li delivered a standout performance, capturing the win with a time of 1:00.55, while Sargent earned bronze, finishing close behind in 1:01.15.
- 400-yard IM: Caroline Riggs placed sixth in the A final in a time of 4:13.84.
- 100-yard Backstroke: Sargent won the B final at 53.25.
- 400-yard Medley Relay: The quartet of Sargent, Li, Ele Donegan, and Ebli closed out the day by finishing fourth with a time of 3:38.52.
