COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Yale women's ice hockey team's magical run ended on Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio. The Bulldogs fell to No. 1 Ohio State 6-1 in the NCAA Regional Finals.
Molly Boyle scored Yale's lone goal, and
Samson Frey made 43 saves in net.
Yale competed in its fifth-ever NCAA Tournament game and fell just short of its second Frozen Four berth. The Elis reached the Regional Finals with a 1-0 win over Minnesota Duluth on Thursday. The Bulldogs wrapped up the 2025-26 campaign with a 26-10 record. With the win, Ohio State improved to 35-4 overall and will advance to its sixth consecutive Frozen Four. The national semifinals and finals will take place at Penn State University. The Buckeyes will play No. 5 Northeastern on March 20.

Season Highlights
- The Bulldogs made their third NCAA Tournament appearance. Yale previously reached the tournament in 2022 and 2023.
- The Bulldogs won their second ECAC Regular Season Championship in program history. They also reached the ECAC Tournament Finals for the second time.
- Yale had the second-longest winning streak in program history with 14, just short of the record set in 2022-23 (15).
- Yale finished the season with 26 victories, tied for the second-highest single-season win total in program history.
- Susan Cavanagh Head Coach of Women's Hockey, Mark Bolding, won his third ECAC Hockey Coach of the Year Award.
- First year Molly Boyle won the ECAC Hockey Defender of the Year and Ivy League Rookie of the Year awards. She was also a first-team honoree for both conferences.
- Carina DiAntonio and Jordan Ray combined for the most points in a single season by a duo in program history (98).
- Ray concluded her historic collegiate career near the top of the Bulldogs' leaderboard. She finished second in assists (90), third in points (145), and fifth in goals (55).
- DiAntonio also will go down as one of the best players in program history, finishing her career second in goals (63), fifth in points (130), and sixth in assists (67).
- Five members of the senior class finished with over 100 career games played.
- Yale graduates a highly impactful, eight-member senior class: Ray, DiAntonio, Gracie Gilkyson, Sylvia Bojarski, Naomi Boucher, Avery Chesek, Claire Sedgewick, and Ciara Coleman.
