PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale women's basketball team jumped out to an early 18-4 lead on Saturday at Jadwin Gym, putting the first-place Princeton Tigers on their heels. But Princeton cut that lead down to seven by the end of the first quarter, and eventually took the lead with 3:46 left in the second quarter. The Tigers then pulled away in the second half for a 78-55 win. With the win and Columbia's loss to Harvard, Princeton secured the Ivy League regular-season championship outright. The Lions and Tigers had been tied for first entering the day.
Yale shot over 57 percent from the field in the opening 10 minutes. However, the Tigers found their rhythm in the second. Princeton outscored Yale 25-10 in the period, fueled by a 6-0 run in the final two minutes of the half. The Tigers took a 40-32 lead into the locker room.
The Bulldogs continued to battle in the third, keeping the deficit within 10 points heading into the final frame. But Princeton broke the game open with a 26-13 final quarter to seal the victory and the top seed for the upcoming Ivy League Tournament in Ithaca, N.Y.
Yale falls to 7-20 (3-11 Ivy League) while Princeton improves to 24-3 (12-2 Ivy League).

- Sophomore guard Ciniya Moore led Yale in points with 19.
- Moore and sophomore guard Marisa Chapman tied for the team high in rebounds with five each.

NOTES
- Moore finished third in the Ivy League in scoring, averaging 17.4 points per game. The last Yale player to rank among the Ivy League's top three in scoring for a season was Roxy Barahman '20 in 2019-20. Barahman was third in the league (17.1 ppg) that year.
- Four Bulldogs wound up playing in all 27 games this season: Chapman, Moore, junior forward Luisa Vydrova and sophomore guard Ke'iara Odume. Moore and Vydrova started all 27 games.
- Senior forward Kiley Capstraw, Yale's captain and a New Jersey native, appeared in her final game for the Bulldogs. She had four points, three rebounds and a team-high four assists. She departed to loud cheers when she subbed out in the final minute during a Princeton timeout.
