Gould, Pascal, Pfaff Earn ILWomen Midseason All-America Recognition

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Three members of the No. 5 Yale women's lacrosse team have been named midseason All-America by ILWomen. ILWomen announced the honors Wednesday. Yale's honorees were:

Yale is the only Ivy League school with more than one All-America selection.
 
All three Bulldogs are on the Women's Watch List for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the best collegiate lacrosse player in the nation. 
 
Gould is one of only three first-years nationwide to make third team All-America or better. She is second in the Ivy League in draw controls (59), tied for third in the league in points (24-20-44) and fifth in the league in assists (20).
 
Gould is a graduate of Nyack High School.
 
Pascal, Yale's captain, is a key part of a Yale defense that ranks second in the nation in scoring defense (6.64 goals per game). She leads the Ivy League in caused turnovers (27) and is tied for third in the league in ground balls (24).
 
Pascal is a graduate of St. Stephen's and St. Agnes.
 
Pfaff is fourth in the nation in goals-against average (7.07) and is second in the Ivy League in save percentage (.489). 
 
Pfaff is a graduate of Garden City High School.

Yale (9-2, 3-0 Ivy League) plays at RV Dartmouth on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
