Evans, Winslow Lead Bulldogs to Series Win Over Harvard

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Tate Evans and junior Ben Winslow combined for a strong performance on the mound to lead the Yale baseball team to a 5-2 victory over Harvard on Sunday afternoon at George H.W. Bush '48 Field. The Bulldogs secured the series win after splitting a doubleheader against the Crimson on Saturday.

With the victory, Yale improved to 19-10 overall with a 9-3 mark in conference play. The Bulldogs are in first place in the Ivy League with nine conference games remaining in the regular season. Harvard dropped to 6-19 overall with an Ivy League record of 5-6.

Key Performers
• Evans was outstanding on the mound for the Bulldogs. The senior picked up the victory, tossing 6.2 innings while allowing just one earned run. Evans struck out seven and induced 11 ground balls.
• Winslow got the final seven outs of the game, allowing one run while striking out five.
• Junior Garrett Larsen went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI. He reached base in all four plate appearances.
