Shay Earns 200th Career Victory; No. 12 Men’s Lacrosse Rolls Past Hofstra

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Head Coach Andy Shay earned his 200th career win as three Bulldogs recorded hat tricks, highlighting a group of seven players who found the back of the net, as the No. 12 Yale men's lacrosse team picked up its fourth straight victory with a 16–9 win over Hofstra on Tuesday evening at James M. Shuart Stadium.

Shay becomes the eighth active coach to reach the milestone, with all wins coming at Division I level.

Yale jumped out to an early advantage, scoring eight goals in the opening quarter and never looking back. The Bulldogs controlled possession early behind strong faceoff play and turned that into efficient offense. After a scoreless second quarter, the Bulldogs responded with six goals in the third to regain momentum and put the game out of reach, before adding two more in the final frame to secure the win.

With the victory, Yale improved to 7-4, and Hofstra dropped to 3-9.
