NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Jim Henry, Robert J.H. Kiphuth Coach of Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving has announced that William "Hammer" Massey will serve as captain for the Bulldogs next season.
 
"William Massey forges strong connections with every team member, intuitively anticipating their needs and wholeheartedly supporting their goals both in and out of the pool," said Henry.
 
Massey delivered a strong performance at the Boston Winter Invite this past season, highlighted by a sixth-place finish in the 200 freestyle, a runner-up result as part of the 200 freestyle relay, and a seventh-place finish in the 200 butterfly.
 
"I'm very excited and grateful for the chance to lead this team, said Massey. "The current seniors have built something really special here, and I'm excited to keep that going. I'm excited to work with the rest of my class to continue on the trajectory this team has been on over the past couple of years."
 
Outside the pool, Massey is a Computer Science and Economics major who has worked as a project intern for Affinity Technology Partners in Nashville. Massey also serves as a Yale Communication and Consent Educator.
