Bulldogs Clinch Ivy League Tournament Spot in Chaotic Doubleheader at Columbia

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yale baseball team played Columbia in an Ivy League doubleheader in New York City on Sunday afternoon. The Lions topped the Bulldogs 9-8 on a walk-off hit in the ninth in game one. In game two, Yale rallied from four runs down to tie the game in the ninth inning. The game was called after nine innings due to darkness, resulting in a 15-15 tie.

Despite the mixed result, Yale clinched a spot in the Ivy League Tournament for the second consecutive year.

Columbia improved to 13-21-1 overall with an 8-8-1 mark in Ivy League play. Yale dropped to 23-13-1 overall with an 11-6-1 record in conference games. The Bulldogs sit in third place, trailing Penn (12-6) and Brown (11-6), while the Lions hold the fourth spot in the Ivy League standings.

Key Performer
• Junior Kaiden Dossa had a fantastic day for the Bulldogs. Dossa went 6-for-11 with seven RBIs, five runs, three stolen bases, and two home runs.
