PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The No. 5 Yale women's crew team wrapped up a strong weekend at the Ivy League Championship on Sunday, capturing the overall team points title for the second consecutive year with 82 points, with all six Yale boats earning medals in the process.
The team points champion is the team with the highest point total across all boats. Yale's varsity four and second varsity four each claimed first place, while the varsity eight, second varsity eight and third varsity eight all finished second. The third varsity four earned a third-place finish.
The Bulldogs also finished second behind Princeton (44 points) for the NCAA automatic qualifier with 43 points. The Tigers took the Ivy League Champions title after winning the varsity eight grand final race.
Grand Final Results
- Yale's third varsity four opened the morning with a third-place finish in 7:27.954. Princeton claimed first in 7:24.559, followed by Dartmouth in second (7:26.285). Cornell placed fourth (7:30.001), Cornell's second entry (4V4) finished fifth (7:58.228), and Harvard-Radcliffe took sixth (8:10.276).
- The Bulldogs' second varsity four delivered a strong showing to earn gold in 7:04.649. Princeton finished second (7:08.313), Dartmouth third (7:16.424), Columbia fourth (7:19.618), while Harvard-Radcliffe (7:23.980) and Brown (7:48.411) rounded out the field in fifth and sixth.
- Yale's third varsity eight captured silver with a time of 6:37.200. Brown won the event in 6:35.874, Penn placed third (6:41.754), Princeton fourth (6:46.209), Dartmouth fifth (6:50.045), and Harvard-Radcliffe sixth (6:54.172).
- Stroked by Clara Bernhardt, the Bulldogs' varsity four picked up its second gold medal of the morning, posting a time of 7:07.505. Harvard-Radcliffe followed closely behind in second (7:08.056), then Brown in third (7:09.596). Dartmouth (7:10.978), Princeton (7:11.847), and Penn (7:15.831) rounded out the field in fourth through sixth.
- Yale's second varsity eight secured the team's second silver medal of the day, crossing the line in 6:18.691. Princeton won the event in 6:16.309, Brown finished third (6:18.904), Columbia fourth (6:26.742), Harvard-Radcliffe fifth (6:30.924), and Dartmouth sixth (6:34.786).
- Stroked by Tess Peake, the Bulldogs' varsity eight wrapped up the weekend with Yale's third silver medal of the day, recording a time of 6:13.536. Princeton took the top spot in 6:09.972, Brown finished third (6:17.138), Columbia fourth (6:20.027), followed by Dartmouth (6:21.652) and Harvard-Radcliffe (6:24.629).

The Bulldogs, who entered the weekend ranked fifth nationally, will turn their attention to the NCAA selection show, virtually assured of earning an at-large bid when the field is announced on Tuesday, May 19 at 5 p.m.
