NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 7 women's crew team is set to race at the NCAA Championship this weekend, hosted by Lake Lanier Olympic Park and the University of North Georgia. The event kicks off with heats on Friday, May 29.

Due to weather, semifinals will also take place on Friday, and finals will follow on Sunday.

• 9:22 a.m. – Second Varsity Eight Heat 3
• 9:46 a.m. – Varsity Four Heat 2

 
The Field

• Joining Yale in the 22-team field are Rhode Island, Stanford, UCF, Washington, Northeastern, Princeton, Jacksonville, UMass, Boston University, Oregon State, Brown, California, Columbia, Miami (Florida), Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
• All three Yale crews are seeded in the top seven, the varsity eight is fifth, the second varsity eight is sixth, and the varsity four is seventh.

 
Quick Facts

• The Bulldogs had a strong weekend at the Ivy League Championship, capturing the overall team points title for the second consecutive year with 82 points, with all six Yale crews earning medals in the process.
• At the league championship, Yale's varsity four and second varsity four each claimed first place, while the varsity eight, second varsity eight and third varsity eight all finished second. The third varsity four earned a third-place finish.
• Five members of the team garnered All-Ivy honors: Harriet Drake-Lee and Christina Bourmpou earned spots on the First Team, and Hope Galusha, Nicole Martinez, and Imogen Cabot were on the Second Team. Galusha was also tabbed as the team's Academic All-Ivy Honoree.
• The Bulldogs received one of 12 at-large bids to the NCAA Championship, earning a spot on the national stage for the 23^rd time in the last 24 seasons.
• The Bulldogs had a strong regular season, capturing the Doc Hosea Cup, and retained the Connell Cup (Penn), Cayuga Cup (Syracuse, Cornell), Class of '85 Cup (Dartmouth), Eisenberg Cup (Princeton), and Case Cup (Harvard-Radcliffe).
• Yale picked up big sweeps over Syracuse, Cornell, Dartmouth, and Harvard-Radcliffe.

 
NCAA Championship Rewind

• Last season at NCAAs, Yale's varsity eight claimed the national title with a win in its grand final for the first time since 2010.
• The varsity four and second varsity eight also delivered performances to remember, finishing fourth and fifth in the nation, respectively. 
• Yale finished as one of the top-10 women's crews in the country with a runner-up finish. The Bulldogs' three boats accumulated 121 points in the field, marking the first time since 2004 that the program finished second at the championship.
