NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Friends of YWC Head Coach
Will Porter has announced that
Lindsey Williams will serve as captain for the Bulldogs next season.
"Lindsey is a veteran athlete who has grown in our program through ups and downs she has continued to work hard and come out on the positive side," said Porter. "Her perspective and experience will serve her well in guiding YWC next year."
Williams rowed in Yale's varsity eight, helping lead a strong spring campaign that culminated in a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championship, where the crew crossed the line in 5:53.412. The boat also earned a silver medal at the Ivy League Championship, retained the Eisenberg Cup over Princeton, and contributed to sweeps against Syracuse, Cornell, Dartmouth, and Harvard-Radcliffe.
Williams is also a CRCA Scholar Athlete and has excelled on the international stage, representing Team USA in the quad at the 2024 U23 World Championships.
"Being a part of YWC has been one of my highlights of my time here at Yale," said Williams. "This team is so special to me, and it is a privilege to have been picked as captain for the 2026-2027 season. YWC is nothing but hardworking, dedicated, and humble. I can't wait to see what we can achieve with each other and for each other next year."
