HAMDEN, Conn. – The Yale women's soccer team battled throughout, but a goal with 10 minutes remaining proved to be the difference as the Bulldogs fell to Quinnipiac, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon.
The Bobcats improved to 1-1-1, and the Bulldogs dropped to 1-1-0.
"It was a tough day for us results wise, said
Sarah Martinez, the Loring Family Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "I thought we were very good in the first half and did not capitalize on the many quality chances we had. It's a lesson to be learned that goals change games. To give up a goal on a set piece is disappointing as we've spend a lot of time on it and know many games are decided by them at our level."
