FORT WORTH, Texas – It took a ranked opponent on the road to snap Yale's six-match win streak to start the season.  Yale fell to No. 13 TCU on Friday afternoon.  The scores of the match were 25-20, 25-18, and 25-22.

Set 1 (25-20, TCU)

• Yale led 8-6 early in a set that saw six ties and three lead changes.
• Laurece Abraham had four kills.
• Skylar Jackson, a Texas native, had two kills on six swings without an error and added a solo block for Yale.

Set 2 (25-18, TCU)

• Yale used a 4-1 run capped by Betsy Goodenow put Yale within one midway through the set - 16-15.
• Ava Poinsett led the way for Yale with five kills in set.
• The Bulldogs held a 4-1 edge in blocks in the set. 

Set 3 (25-22, TCU)

• The Bulldogs held the lead late in the set (20-19) before the Horned Frogs pulled away.
• Jackson had a team-best five kills in the set, including one to give Yale a 17-14 edge.
• Gabriele Stasys came on to provide a boost in the set with three block assists, two kills and a service ace. 

Notes

• The match today in Fort Worth marked a homecoming for five Yale Texas-natives:  Naya Salfiti (Westlake), Callie Funk (Katy), Skylar Jackson (Lucas), Caroline Huseman (Fort Worth) and Bethany Wu (Fairview).
• The Bulldogs outblocked the Horned Frogs by a 10-7 margin.
• Abraham and Jackson both led the Bulldogs with nine kills each.
• Ava Poinsett had a team-best nine digs and added six kills.
