PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Yale men's cross country team opened the 2026 season with six runners competing in a 6K at Providence's Friar Invitational Friday evening.

The Bulldogs: 

• Junior Lucas Cohen (30th, 18:51.4) was Yale's top finisher. 
• Three Bulldogs – first-year Charlie Palmore (43rd, 19:11.7), sophomore Magnus Manley (49th, 19:15.4) and senior Guy Stevens (50th, 19:15.8) – finished within five seconds of each other.
• Junior Seb Sutch (60th, 19:26.0) and senior Jack Diaz (92nd, 20:59.6) rounded out Yale's finishers.
