Notes: Finished his career with a 73-43 record in singles and 66-44 in doubles… A two-time All-Ivy selection.
2019-20: Team captain… Posted a 2-2 mark in the No. 1 singles position… Advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Regionals… Finished 9-6 overall in singles… Played in the inaugural Oracle Challenge Series at Yale in early September… Had a 10-6 overall doubles record… Awarded the James A. Hutchinson Award, which is given to the member of the team who, during the year by sportsmanship and cooperative spirit, has done the most for tennis at Yale.
2018-19: Second team All-Ivy selection… Advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Regionals… Finished with a 13-7 dual-match record in singles and was 17-16 overall… Posted a 24-14 doubles record.
2017-18: Began season by winning all four doubles matches in Penn Invitational… reached semifinals of Ivy Plus in singles play… played in No. 1 singles position for final 13 dual matches… 10-7 singles record in dual matches, including seven-match win streak (excluding unfinished matches)… reached final of Connecticut State Championships in doubles draw alongside Ziqi Wang before falling to teammates Doehler and Andrienko… reached round of 16 in ITA Northeast Regionals in doubles draw alongside King before falling to Columbia’s nationally-ranked No. 34 pair Jack Lin and William Matheson in 8-7 thriller… ascended from No. 3 doubles position in dual matches to No. 1 doubles position, where he played in final five matches.
2016-17: Started the season with six straight singles wins and finished the fall with a 13-2 overall singles record ... won out in doubles at the Penn Invitational alongside Ryan Cheng ... qualified for and won all four of his matches at the ITA All-American Championships ... reached the round of 16 at the ITA Northeast Regionals ... started at No. 2 doubles with Cheng for most of the spring ... primarily played at the No. 3 singles spot during the spring, notching a 19-3 dual match record ... posted a highlight victory over No. 81 Billy Griffith of California ... went 5-1 in the Ivy League to earn Second Team All-Ivy recognition in singles ... finished the season with a 32-4 overall singles record, the most wins of any Yale player in over three decades.
Before Yale: served as team captain of Grant High School tennis team senior year ... trained under coach Aaron Gross at the Academy at the University of Portland ... won the PIL District title twice ... won the OSAA 6A state singles championship in 2016 ... named Oregon Prep Tennis Player of the Year in 2016 ... high school team claimed the OSAA 6A team title in 2015, came second in 2016.
