2020: Made 10 appearances, registered a .308 batting average including three home runs, tallied seven RBI and scored seven runs… Went 3 for 5 against Old Dominion, hit two home runs, scored two runs and tallied two RBI in win on March 1… Season cancelled after 10 games due to coronavirus pandemic.
2019: Registered a .227 batting average, scored 19 runs and 19 RBI… Batted 3 for 5 with a homer, collecting three RBI and scored three runs against Brown on March 23… Registered a season-high four RBI adding a home run against Brown going 2 for 3 and scored two runs on March 24.
2018:Â Appeared in 30 games...Hit .264 in 72 at bats...Recorded five doubles...Went 3 for 4 with two RBI in a doubleheader sweep vs. Brown on March 31...Went 2 for 4 with a double and run scored in an 8-3 win at Princeton on April 29.
2017: Hit .317 in 41 at bats... Slugged his first collegiate homer in a 13-11 win over Hartford on March 29... Scored three runs and reached base three times in a win 18-15 win at Wofford on March 18... Notched his first collegiate hit at New Mexico State on March 4.
Before Yale: Three-year letter winner and captain for baseball and basketball at Amity Regional High School… Batted .375 his senior season with 26 runs, 25 RBI, three homeruns and an on base percentage of .462… Earned a 2-0 record and a 0.00 ERA from the mound… Received all-conference recognition for the Southern Connecticut Conference Housatonic Division, was a Connecticut Senior All-Star Game selection, received first team all-state honors from the Connecticut High School Coaches Association, earned a spot on the New haven Register All-Area team, Team voted No. 1 in Conn. for the New Haven Register and Hartford Courant… CIAC Class LL State Champion (2014, 2015, 2016), Southern Connecticut Conference Housatonic Division Champions (2014, 2015, 2016), 2016 Southern Connecticut Conference Champions… Received the Southern Connecticut Conference Scholar Leader award, named the New Haven Tap-Off Club Scholar Athlete, New Haven Register Senior Spotlight Honoree, Academic All-State and Amity High School Scholar Athlete Award.Â
Personal: Son of James and Susan Ronai, both work in physical therapy, father is the Director of Physical Therapy at Rehabilitation Associates, Inc., mother is a physical therapist at Rehab Solutions LLC… Father graduated from Springfield College and Mother graduated from Ithaca College… Older brother Matthew currently plays baseball at Merrimack College, class of ’19; younger sister attends Amity Middle School.Â
