2020: Made three starts, had a 2.70 ERA and tallied 15 strikeouts… Pitched 6.0 scoreless innings in win against The Citadel, struck out four and only allowed three hits on February 23… Season cancelled after 10 games due to coronavirus pandemic.

2019: Appeared in eight games, had a 3.06 ERA, with 16 strikeouts and a 3-1 record… He pitched five innings against the Bobcats recorded a season high five strikeouts and allowed zero runs on March 20… Then he pitched 3.0 innings against Columbia, struck out three and allowed one run on April 13.

Before Yale: Three-year letterman at Veterans High School; set school single season and career records for wins; HHJ Area Pitcher of the Year (2017): GDC All-State Pitcher (2018); Perfect Game All-Region Honorable Mention (2018); Graduated Top 1% of high school class; AP Scholar with Distinction; National Merit Commended: Fellowship of Christian Athletes leader and speaker

Personal:  Son of Robby and Michelle Gibbs, brother to Katie. Both parents graduated with BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Katie is four years younger and a swimmer at Veterans High School. Four former high school teammates playing Division I baseball (Florida State, Texas Tech, Cornell, Mercer). Previously interned at Southside Baptist Church.
