The course operates as a public, daily-fee operation. When players book a tee time through our online point of sale platform Whoosh, they must agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Course Access & Registration
- All tee times must be made online; no walk-up bookings are permitted.
- A credit card will be held at the time of booking and charged upon check-in.
- Driving range and practice area usage is open to all players with or without a booked tee time on a first-come, first-served basis. All range balls are purchased and distributed from the pro shop.
- Only paid golfers are permitted on the golf course.
Check-in For Tee Time
- All players must arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to their reserved tee time.
- All players must report to the golf pro shop upon arrival.
- Identification will be required at the golf pro shop to validate player categories.
- Pro shop staff reserves the right to pair singles or twosomes into foursomes to maximize capacity. Foursomes are the maximum allowed per group.
- Juniors (16 years of age and under) must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their round.
- Range balls are included with every paid green fee.
Pace of Play & Player Conduct
- Pace of play for the round of golf is expected to be 4 hours 25 minutes (2 hours 05 minutes the front nine and 2 hours 20 minutes the back nine). Pace of play will be monitored.
- All players are expected to conduct themselves with the following golf course etiquette practices: repair your ball mark and one other when on every putting green, replace divots with sand provided, smooth bunkers after use, do not litter, and collect all trash during your round.
- Guests will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner: excessive use of abusive or foul language, intoxication, or disorderly conduct are grounds for immediate removal from the golf course without refund and may result in future restrictions.
Dress Code Requirements
- Standard golf attire is mandatory for all players & guests and include the following: collared shirts, slacks, or Bermuda-length shorts, soft spike or smooth-soled athletic shoes.
- The following are prohibited: denim (jeans), cut-off shorts, tank tops, swimsuits, athletic and/or gym shorts, metal spikes golf shoes and open-toed shoes.
Equipment & Cart Policies
- Every player with a tee time must have their own set of golf clubs and a golf bag.
- Guests to the driving range may share or bring a few clubs to practice only.
- Rentals sets are available in limited quantity. Please identify the need during the booking process.
- Golf cart usage will be monitored. All golf carts must stay on paths around every tee box and every green. Cart Path Only will be enforced on all par 3’s, around all practice greens and the driving range.
- Golf cart is inclusive within the green fee price and is for one player. Staff assigns two players per every golf cart.
- To drive a cart, a player must be 18 or older.
Cancellation Policy
- Yale Golf Course has a cancellation policy of 48 hours for a full refund; anything cancelled within 48 hours will receive a partial refund.
- No-shows for tee times will not be issued refunds or rainchecks.
- Rainchecks will only be issued for inclement weather and at the discretion of the golf pro shop.
Compliance & Assumption of Risk
- Yale Golf Course is considered university property and identified as being “on-campus”. Compliance with all university guidelines is required.
- Yale Golf Course adheres to all local, state, and federal laws.
- All players and guests assume all risks of injury or of property damage, regardless of cause. All players and guests are responsible for damage to any golf course asset (golf carts, rental clubs, buildings, golf course, etc.) caused by themselves, their equipment, or by any other means.
- No outside alcohol is permitted on property. Noncompliance with this policy may result in immediate removal from the golf course without a refund.
