2016: Earned Honorable Mention All Ivy… Served as the primary catcher, played in 38 games making 34 starts… Hit .240 with 104 runs, 21 RBI, three doubles and three home runs… On 192 total chances recorded 168 putouts, 22 assists and two errors… Hit his first collegiate homerun against Texas A&M on March 4… Tallied a season high 10 putouts against Navy on March 12.
2015: Played in 26 games, making 18 starts at catcher... Served as primary backup to Robert Baldwin, who was injured early in the season... Hit .179 with six doubles, 11 RBI and nine runs scored on the season... Made all 125 defensive plays (110 putouts and 15 assists) without an error... Went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI against George Mason on March 12... Was 2-for-5 with two doubles and a career-high five RBI in a 23-8 win over Hartford on March 17.
2014: Saw action in 11 games in his freshman season... Made 19 plate appearances... Committed only one error in 41 put-out chances behind the plate (.976 fielding percentage)... Hit a single and scored a run against Stetson on March 16... Had a single, sacrifice fly, and RBI against UConn on April 2.
Off the Field:
- Summer intern at Soldier Capital LLC
- Fully certified by the Mid-Atlantic Umpire Association to work youth baseball games for both charity and pay
- Organized multiple food and clothing drives for The Covenant House, a safe haven for underprivileged inner-city youth
Before Yale: A four-year letterwinner in baseball in each of his four seasons at Don Bosco Prep and was the Ironmen’s team captain in his senior season... All-Big South Conference Second Team selection in 2013 and a First Team selection in 2012... All-Bergen County First Team selection and an All-State Second Team selection in 2012... Batted a team-high .441 in 2012 in leading Don Bosco Prep to the state championship, and also led the Ironmen to back-to-back Bergen County titles... The Danny Gaine award recipient in his senior season, which is awarded to the player who is the Ironmen’s best leader and most respected teammate... Don Bosco Prep’s sole representative at the 20th Annual Scholar Athlete Program... Also a letterwinner in football in 2010 and was a linebacker on Don Bosco Prep’s 2010 state championship team... Member of the National Honor Society, the National Math Honor Society, and the National Hispanic Recognition Program, and was a recipient of the Kinchley’s Involved in Sports and Scholastic Scholarship.
