2020: Made 5 relief appearances, striking out 7… Had a season high two strikeouts against Jacksonville on March 11… Season cancelled after 10 games due to coronavirus pandemic.
2019: Made 12 relief appearances, striking out 7… Had a season high three strikeouts against UCF on March 9.
2018: Made 13 relief appearances...Pitched to a 2.16 ERA over 16 2/3 innings and allowed 15 hits...Tossed three innings of scoreless relief against Dartmouth on April 21...Did not allow a run in 2/3 of an inning during game one of the Ivy League Championship Series vs. Columbia on May 22.
2017: Did not play throughout the season.
Before Yale: Four-year letter winner for baseball and three-year letter winner for swimming at Loomis Chaffee School… Earned an 8-1 record with a 1.24 ERA, 0.935 WHIP and 60 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched… Garnered the 2016 Colonial League Pitcher of the Year award, named to the 2016 Colonial League All-Star Team and 2016 Coaches Award recipient… The Pelicans were the 2016 Colonial League Co-Champions, the 2014 Colonial League Tri-Champions and the 2014 Founders league Champions… Graduated cum laude from Loomis, 2015 Founders Award winner, Departmental Honors awards in Mathematics (2015, 2016), Science (2015, 2016) and History (2014, 2016)… In the pool he placed No. 6 in 100 yard butterfly at New England Prep School Championships, won the Founders League Championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015… Does volunteer work for the Special Olympics.
Personal: Son of John and Robin Cecere… John graduated from Fairfield University… Robin graduated from University of Pennsylvania… Both John and Robin are attorney’s and graduated from Boston College Law School… Brother Danny is attending Loomis Chaffee and is expected to graduate in 2019.
