Devin Belenski

Devin Belenski, who helped the UConn baseball team to an NCAA Tournament appearance along with Big East regular season and tournament championships last season, joined the Yale baseball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in the fall of 2021.
 
Belenski served as Director of Player Development and Analytics for UConn during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, assisting the team and coaching staff with daily implementation of technology and data. In his first year with the Huskies he developed the first analytic team for UConn Baseball. Utilizing the school’s actuarial department, Belenski created a team of interns that took on numerous projects.
 
Belenski worked closely with the UConn staff, assisting with camp functions and the recruitment of student athletes. He created scouting reports, assisted with on-campus recruiting and charted in-game statistics. In 2021 the Huskies went 34-19, beating Michigan in the first game of the NCAA South Bend Regional before eventually being eliminated.
 
In the summer of 2021 Belenski managed the Norwich Sea Unicorns in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, a collegiate summer league.
 
Belenski earned his Bachelor of Sports and Leisure Management with a concentration in Sports Science at Eastern Connecticut State University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Upsilon Chi International Honor Society for his academic achievements in Sports and Leisure Management. He played four seasons of baseball (2016-2019) and helped the team reach the 2016 NCAA Regionals. 
 
In 2018, Belenski worked at ECSU as a strength and conditioning intern for a variety of sports programs. Prior to that, he worked as a strength and conditioning intern for football and lacrosse at Yale. 
 
Belenski is a native of Woodbridge, Conn., and is a 2015 graduate of Amity Regional High School. He helped the Spartans win three consecutive state championships, earning team MVP honors and serving as captain in his senior year.
