Josh Schulman

Josh Schulman, who joined the Yale coaching staff for the 2018-19 season, serves as the program’s recruiting coordinator while handling the responsibilities of baserunning and catching. In 2019 he helped the Bulldogs steal 114 bases -- 64 more than any other Ivy League team.

Schulman came to New Haven from Wofford College, where he served as the volunteer assistant for two seasons. The Terriers had a banner year in 2018, eclipsing 35 wins for the second time in program history at 36-23 while establishing a program record for Southern Conference wins at 15-9. Before joining Wofford Schulman worked as an assistant coach with the Pomona-Pitzer Baseball Program in 2015-16, serving as the pitching coach and being elevated to recruiting coordinator following the 2016 season.
    
Schulman played for four years at the University of Rochester, where he was a left-handed pitcher. He became a volunteer assistant coach after graduating in 2015, after also serving as an assistant coach with the Victor RailRiders in the PGCBL.
    
A native of College Station, Texas, Schulman played at A&M Consolidated High School. He graduated from Rochester in 2015 with degrees in Political Science and English and received his Masters in Sports Management from Texas A&M in 2017.
