Tucker Frawley

The 2019 season will mark Tucker Frawley’s 12th year at Yale University and eighth serving as John Stuper's Associate Head Coach. His main duties at Yale include formulating the program’s overall player development structure, coaching the infield and hitting corps, preparing the team defense, and assisting with the program's national recruiting efforts.

In 2018, Frawley’s coaching and recruiting efforts helped lead Yale to its second consecutive Ivy League Regular Season Championship, third straight trip to the Ivy League Championship Series and fourth playoff appearance in five seasons -- all of which are the most of any Ivy League school in that time. In addition to the team’s Ivy League accomplishments, the 2018 squad led all of Division I baseball in fielding percentage while tying an all-time national record of .985. The Yale defense has now led the Ivy League in overall fielding percentage each of the last three seasons.

During his 11 seasons with the Bulldogs, 36 different positional players and 53 total players have earned All-Ivy recognition, including 2018 selections Benny Wanger (Second Team), Simon Whiteman (Second Team) and Teddy Hague (Honorable Mention).

A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Frawley graduated in 2006 as the school's all-time leader in career hits. He was a three-time All-Patriot League selection at second base for the Crusaders, including a junior season in which he hit .409, ranking him 17th nationally. He is a three-time Hop Riopel Award recipient, an award given to the Crusaders' most valuable player, making him one of only two players to earn the distinction on three occasions. Frawley was named All-New England in both 2005 and 2006 and was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Northeast Region team in 2006.

A New Haven native who attended the Hopkins School, Frawley signed professional contracts with the Worcester Tornadoes (CanAm League) in 2006 and the Evansville Otters (Frontier League) in 2007 before returning to the Elm City to begin his coaching career. He currently resides in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Stuper Says: "Tucker is one of the finest young baseball coaches I have ever been around. His energy and enthusiasm is infectious, as is his superior work ethic. I am extremely pleased to be working side by side with him.”
