John Vecchio’s career at Yale started as a strength and conditioning intern during the 2021 season. The following season he was brought back as an assistant strength coach for the football team.
Vecchio graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in health promotion and fitness in 2021. He is a certified NCSA strength and conditioning specialist, and he is certified in CPR/AED through the Red Cross.
Vecchio grew up in Southington, Conn., where he was raised by John and Cyndi Vecchio. He is the oldest of six siblings: Anthony, Jacob, Eliza, Ava and Andrew.
