In early February of 2020, Yale University head coach Tony Reno announced the promotion of Sean Goldrich to wide receiver coach for the 2020 season. Goldrich was part of the Bulldogs’ 2019 Ivy League championship season as part of the offensive quality control team.
Â
Goldrich joined the Yale football staff in February of 2019 as the Offensive Quality Control Coach. His tutelage helped senior wideouts JP Shohfi and Reed Klubnik finish 1-2 in the Ivy League in receptions and receiving yards last season while also wrapping their Yale careers as the top-two receivers in the history of the program.
Â
Before Yale, Goldrich spent one season as the wide receiver coach at the University of New England where he helped coordinate the pass game and mentored two first team All-Commonwealth Coast Conference wideouts.
 Â
Goldrich played quarterback at the University of New Hampshire where he was a four-year starter, compiling over 7,500 yards passing and over 1,100 yards rushing for 71 total touchdowns. The Wildcats took part in four playoff runs including two semifinal appearances.
Â
Goldrich graduated in the fall of 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. After college, Sean had opportunities in the NFL getting invited to camps with the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears before continuing his career in the arena football league with Colorado Crush.
Â
Goldrich is a local graduate of Notre Dame High School in nearby West Haven, Conn., where he also served one season as the team’s co-offensive coordinator and quarterback coach in 2016.
