Bulldogs Earn NABC Team Academic Award For Third Straight Year

Posted A Grade Point Average Of Better Than 3.0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the fourth annual Team Academic Excellence Awards and for the third straight year, the Bulldogs have been recognized for their success in the classroom.

The award, created by the NABC Committee on Academics, recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2015-16 season.

In order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA Division I and II, must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2015-16 season.

This is the second NABC honor of the week. On Tuesday, five Bulldogs were named to the NABC Honors Court.

2015-16 was a very successful season on the court as well for the Bulldogs, who captured their second straight Ivy League title and advanced to the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.
